1. RENTAL RATES:
All equipment rental rates are for time out, not time used. The rental period is for a 1-day event. Seasonally,
a 1-day rental rate may charged for equipment delivered or picked up on
Friday, and picked up or returned on the following Monday (excludes
inflatables & some other items – please inquire). Rates are subject
to change without notice. 1 week rental rate is equal to 1.5 times the
daily rental rate 2 weeks rental rate is equal to 2.5 times the daily
rental rate Monthly rental rate is equal to 3.5 times the daily rental
rate.
2. SECURITY DEPOSIT:
A
security deposit is required, in addition to the rental charge. The
security deposit charged is between $50.00 - $200.00, and is payable by
cash, money order, credit card, or debit card. Download Credit/Debit Authorization Form.
The security deposit will be refunded by check, approximately 5 days
after the equipment has been returned. The cost of any missing, damaged
or dirty items will be deducted from the security deposit.
3. ORDER RESERVATIONS:
A
reservation is confirmed when PartyMax receives a deposit for the
event. For orders placed 21 days or more in advance of the event, a 50%
deposit is required. The remaining balance must be paid no later than
14 business days prior to the event. For orders placed with less than
21 days remaining before the event, the entire balance of the order is
due at the time of reservation.
4. ORDER CHANGES:
There will be a $50.00 fee assessed to all orders for any changes made to them within 7 days of the event. In some cases, changes may not be possible. Please finalize your order prior to 7 days of the event date.
5. PAYMENT:
We
accept checks if they are received at least 14 business days before the
event date. Any payment made with less than 14 days remaining before
the event date must be made by cash, money order, debit card or credit
card. Download Credit/Debit Authorization Form.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. If you would like to pay by credit card,
you may do so by coming in to our store during regular business hours,
or by downloading our credit card authorization form, from our website:
www.partymaxmi.com. Fill out the form, sign it and fax it to us at
734-487-5819.
6. CANCELLATIONS:
Reservations
cancelled or significantly altered less than 7 days before the
equipment is to be delivered by PartyMax or is to be picked up by the
customer, are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full contract
cost. Counts may be reduced by up to 15% of the dollar amount of the
contract without penalty, a minimum of 7 days before the equipment is
to be delivered or picked up. Linen and other sub-rented items will be
charged in full – no refunds. There are no refunds on any unused
equipment. There are no refunds given for any orders cancelled during
the month of June. All other cancellations will be subject to a charge
of $50.00.
7. DELIVERY & PICKUP
We
can provide delivery and pickup to most areas, for an additional
charge. Delivery and pickups are done during PartyMax normal business
hours, to street level or dock, unless otherwise arranged. Customer may
request morning (Mon-Sat, 8:00 am– 1:00 pm) or afternoon (Mon – Sat,
1:00 pm – 6:00 pm) for delivery or pickup. We recommend delivery the
day before the event and pickup the day after the event. An adult with
a valid Michigan driver’s license must be at the delivery location to
sign for the equipment. All equipment to be picked up must be returned
to the same location it was delivered to and available for PartyMax
personnel. All equipment must be cleaned and repackaged in original
delivery containers. Tables & chairs must be folded and stacked in
the same location as delivered unless arrangements are made prior to
the event.
- Timed delivery or pickup rate: $100.00 plus the regular delivery rate
- Same day delivery or pickup rate: 20% of total rental charge, plus $250.00, plus the regular delivery rate
- Before or after-hour delivery or pickup: 20% of total rental charge, $250 minimum
- Holiday delivery rate: 30% of total rental charge, $500 minimum
Due to changes in gasoline prices, delivery charges are subject to
change without notice. The hourly labor rate is $75.00 per hour, per
person. Labor charges will be assessed for waiting time (beyond 10
minutes), hauling items more than 30 feet from our truck, hauling items
up or down stairs and setting up and taking down equipment. If the
customer is not on site for the delivery or pickup, and we have no
prior instructions, there will be a delay and an additional delivery
charge to reschedule the delivery or pickup. If a customer picks up a
rental item but cannot return it, there will
be charge of $150.00 for an unscheduled service, plus $2.50 per mile
for
the round trip.
8. UNDERGROUND UTILITIES & LAWN:
PartyMax,
Inc. will not be liable for any damage to underground utilities,
sprinkler systems, grass, bushes, or trees. The customer is responsible
for marking underground utilities and sprinklers at least one week
prior to the date of installation of any rental equipment.
9. CUSTOMER PICKUP:
As
a courtesy, we will help the customer load and unload his/her own
vehicle. However, the customer is responsible for providing an
adequately-sized vehicle, and we are not responsible for any damages
caused to the vehicle during the loading or unloading processes. Items
not returned on time will be charged the daily rental rate for each
item returned late. In addition to the daily rental charges, there will
be a late fee of $35.00 per day as well as interest of 29% annually,
charged on any unpaid balance. The customer must check the quantity of
rental products before leaving. Customers will be charged for any
missing or damaged items.
10. IDENTIFICATION:
When
rental equipment is picked up from our location, we require a valid
State of Michigan driver’s license. We will need to make a copy of the
ID.
11. DAMAGE WAIVER:
This
charge protects the customer from paying replacements charges for
accidentally broken items. This does not cover misuse, theft, loss, or
acts of God. Any broken pieces must be returned. The cost is 10% of the total rental order.
12. CLEANING CHARGES:
Cleaning
charges apply to all rental equipment. Equipment must be returned clean
and in good working condition. Cleaning charges will be assessed for
items returned dirty. The minimum cleaning charge is $100.00.
13. EQUIPMENT CARE:
The
customer is responsible for the rental items from the time of delivery
or pickup, until the items are returned to PartyMax, Inc. Be sure that
all equipment is stored and protected from the weather and vandalism
while in your possession. We do charge for items that have been soiled,
broken, damaged or are missing. Customers must not use thumbtacks,
staples, tape or glue on any tables, chairs or any other rental items.
14. LINEN CARE:
Food
should be shaken from linens. Lay napkins flat in piles of 10, then
fold each pile in half & return to delivery bins. Fold each table
cover separately. The customer will be charged the replacement cost for
all missing, damaged, or stained linen. There are no refunds for unused
items. If wet, linens must be allowed to air dry before being returned
to delivery bins.
15. CHINA, GLASSWARE, FLATWARE CARE:
Items
come ready to use. All items must be clean and dry and returned to
their original delivered containers. The replacement cost will be
charged for all missing, broken or chipped items. A cleaning charge
will be assessed if items are returned dirty.
16. CONCESSION & COOKING
All
food equipment come ready to use. All items must be returned clean and
with all accessories. EQUIPMENT CARE: A cleaning charge will be
assessed for any items returned dirty. The minimum cleaning charge is
$100.00. Replacement cost will be charged for all missing and broken
items.
17. TENTS & CANOPIES:
The
tent location must be prepared: grass cut, sprinkler system off, all
lawn items removed. Trees adjacent to the tent installation area must
have branches trimmed so that there is no interference with the tent.
Tent installation will be as close as possible to the location that the
customer desires. The tent must be installed on flat ground. (a slight
slope is permissible) The tent must be installed on ground where
rainwater will flow away from the tent, and where water will not
collect under the tent. The tent installation area must be accessible
to our trucks. Tents will not be installed or taken down during
rainstorms. We can install a tent only once, so the customer must make
sure of the desired location. If the customer wants the tent moved to a
different location after installation, please call our office.
Additional charges will apply. Tents installed in parks require
permission from the park authority. Park permits and access fees, if
any, are the sole responsibility of the customer. Should PartyMax, Inc.
arrange for the necessary permits, a charge of $100.00 per hour will
apply, in addition to the cost of the permit. Crepe paper streamers are
prohibited under the tent. Grills and griddles are prohibited under the
tent. Fires of any kind are prohibited under the tent. Do not staple,
nail or pin anything to the tent. Do not let bare light bulbs touch any
part of the tent. A tent is a temporary structure, not meant to provide
adequate protection from the elements. In the event of severe weather,
people should leave the tent and take shelter in a building. Have an
evacuation plan for your guests ahead of time.
18. INFLATABLES:
Inflatable
rides must be on flat, level ground, either grass, asphalt or cement
surfaces. Additional charges will apply for asphalt and cement
surfaces. The ground must be clear of any sharp objects, debris, lawn
furniture, pet areas, and overhead power lines and bushes, trees and
branches. The inflatable must be installed on ground where rainwater
will flow away from the inflatable, and where water will not collect
under it. Customer is responsible for all clean-up costs caused by
stains on rented inflatables, including those caused by leaves, grass,
etc. The customer must identify the desired location for the
installation of the inflatable. Inflatable rides installed on grass
surfaces will be secured with stakes. Inflatable rides installed on
asphalt and cement surfaces will be secured with weights. A tarp must
be used under the inflatable on all surfaces. The space needed for an
inflatable is 5’ larger than the inflatable, on all sides. Inflatable
installation will be as close as possible to the location that the
customer desires. The customer must make an electrical outlet
available, not to exceed 25’ from inflatable. PartyMax is not liable
for any problems due to power issues. Generally, one (1) dedicated
twenty (20) amp circuit is required for each blower. Other items must
not be plugged into the same circuit as that being used for the
inflatable. A generator will be needed for any inflatable located far
from an electrical power supply. Generators are available to rent from
PartyMax. Inflatables installed in parks may require permission from
the park authority. Park permits and access fees, if any, are the sole
responsibility of the customer. Should PartyMax, Inc. arrange for the
necessary permits, a charge of $100.00 per hour will apply, in addition
to the cost of the permit. Inflatable installation in a park requires
liability insurance to be carried by customer. Insurance can be
arranged through PartyMax for a charge of $100.00 per inflatable.
19. REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Once
the inflatable has been picked up by the customer, or delivered by
PartyMax, there will be no refunds of any kind due to weather. The
customer can cancel an order any time before the day of delivery, if
the weather does not permit the use of the inflatable ride.
20. DAMAGES
The
customer is responsible for any and all damage to the inflatable unit,
blower and any other part associated with the inflatable rental. All
inflatable rides picked up by the customer are required to be clean,
dry and correctly rolled prior to being returned. A charge of $150.00
will be assessed if the inflatable is returned dirty, wet, or
incorrectly rolled. Cleaning charges will be assessed due to misuse
(food, gum, silly string, rocks or any other foreign objects).
